Daniel Gortler, pianist, was born in Israel. He performs as a soloist with numerous international orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, The Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Bochum Orchestra, the Nw World Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Huston Symphony Orchestra, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra as well as orchestras in Brazil and South Africa. In Israel he performed as soloist with all orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. The Israel Camerata Jerusalem and others. He performs in may international chamber music festivals where he performs with, among others, Nicolaj Znaider, David Garrett, Sergey Ostrovsky, Steven Isserlis, Daniel Johannsen,  the Shanghai Quartet, the Jupiter Quartet and others. He recorded several CDs including Mendelssohn’s Lieder ohne Worte, piano music by Schumann and is currently working on a new CD with solo piano solo music by Grieg. He participated with Pinchas Zukerman in a video recording of Through Roses by Mark Neikrug. He has won numerous prizes in music competitions in Israel and abroad.
