The Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir
The Jerusalem Academy Chamber Choir
Was founded in 1969 and has since performed with the leading Israeli orchestras including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA, the Israel Chamber Orchestra and others. The choir has appeared with conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, Gary Bertini, Daniel Barenboim and Rafael Fruehbeck de Burgos. A unique and important aspect of the ensemble’s activities is the performance of contemporary Israeli choral music. The choir comprises nearly 30 singers, most of whom are vocal majors at the Academy and are chosen each season by audition.
