Merce Paloma, costume designer, was born in Spain. Her opera credits include Cosi fan tutte, Don Giovanni (Mozart), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Un ballo in maschera (Verdi), Tosca (Puccini), Wozzeck (Berg), Manon (Massenet), Carmen (Bizet), Parsifal, Lohengrin (Wagner), Il trovatore (Verdi), Salome (R. Strauss) and others. She has worked at the opera houses of Copenhagen, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hannover, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Bilbao, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera and others. She has worked extensively with Calixo Bieito as well as for Spanish and Catalan television and films. This is her first work at the Israeli Opera.
