Salma Ziv, alto saxophone
Ziv Salma, alto saxophone, was born in Israel. He graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He received the AICF scholarships. He is a composer and arranger and his works have been performed by ensembles and musicians all over Israel including by the Jerusalem East-West Orchestra, the Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble and others. Among his compositions are Na’ama for alto saxophone and string orchestra, Copper Snake for classical guitar and double bass, Super Tiger, Haram for trombone solo and others. He performs as a soloist with various ensembles and was the saxophone player of the Jerusalem East-West Orchestra. He teaches classical saxophone at the Israel Conservatory of Music and at the Hassadna Jerusalem Music Conservatory.
