Cohen Raz, cello
Cohen Raz, cello
Raz Cohen, cello, was born in Israel. He graduated from the Tel Aviv University and the Yale University and has received his doctorate from the New York University Stony Brook. Among his teachers were Uri Chen, Uzi Wiesel, Aldo Parisot and Timothy Eddy. He is a member of the opera orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion. He was the principal cellist of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra and performed with both orchestras also as a soloist. He was a member of the Rishonim Quartet and Musica Nova Ensemble. He performed in many festivals in Israel and abroad. He is the initiator and artistic director of the Israel Schubertiade. He is also the artistic director of the chamber music series of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion.
