Irit Livne, viola, was born in Israel. She was the principal violist of the opera orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion since its inception and until recently. Among her teachers were Rami Shevalov, Zeev Steinberg and Daniel Benyamini. She played with the Holon Chamber Orchestra and the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. She plays a lot of contemporary music and many composers wrote works especially for her which she has recorded for the radio. She plays chamber music in various ensembles and has performed as a soloist with many orchestras.
