Lorenzen Eckart, violin
Eckart Lorenzen, violin, was born in Germany. He is the concertmaster of the opera orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion during the last 28 years. He was the concertmaster of the Italian Radio Orchestra in Torino, in the Arturo Toscanini Orchestra in Parma and the German Youth Orchestra. Between 1984-87 he played with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Herbert von Karjan. He won many international competitions and performed as a soloist with many conductors and musicians including Asher Fisch, Umberto Michelangeli, Noam Sheriff, Daniel Oren, Frans Bruggen, Luciano Berio, David Stern, Ivry Gitlis and others. He plays on a 1720 Guarneri del Gesu violin which was lent to him by Yehuda Zisapel.
