    Gilad Harel, clarinet, was born in Israel. He studied at the Paris National Conservatory and at the Juilliard School of Music in New York. He performs a variety of musical styles form the classical to klezmer and from swing to traditional music. He has recently created an Israeli project that combines klezmer music with Dixieland. He performs regularly with Ute Lemper and appears as a soloist with leading orchestras in Israel and abroad including the Turin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Geneva Chamber Orchestra, the Manhattan Sinfonietta, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra and others. He has created a special concert for klezmer musician and electronics which he has performed all over the world. He has worked with many composers including Elliott Carter, John Zorn, Milton Babbitt and others and performed the premieres of many compositions. He was a regular member of the Meitar Ensemble.
