The Gertler Quartet, The Gertler String Quartet is the Buchman-Mehta School of Music representative chamber group and constitutes a framework for intense schooling for young string quartets. Established in the first half of the 1980’s, the quartet is called after Herman Hershel Gertler, a talented Polish Violinist, who perished in the Holocaust. The quartet is composed of four excellent students of the School of Music and is guided by the school's best teachers. The quartet performs in many concerts in Israel and abroad, including many festivals. The quartet is directed by cellist Felix Nemirovsky.
