Erik Friedman, assistant director, was born in the USA. He has worked with many opera companies in the USA including those of Chicago, Los Angeles, Saint Louis, Santa Fe, Boston and others as well as theatre companies such as Steppenwolf in Chicago and Actors Theatre of Louisville. He was assistant director on numerous opera productions including Macbeth, Don Carlo, Rigoletto (Verdi), Salome (R. Strauss), La clemenza di Tito (Mozart), La boheme (Puccini), Carmen (Bizet), The Ghosts of Versailles (Corigliano), Moby Dick (Heggie), Roberto Devereux (Donizetti) and others.
