His numerous opera credits include Orlando (Handel), La Calisto (Cavalli), Rinaldo (Handel), Pique Dame (Tchaikovsky), Rodelinda (Handel), L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi) for the Bavarian Staatsoper in Munich, Il trovatore (Verdi) for the Bregenz Festival, Wozzeck (Berg) for the Kömische Oper, Berlin, Otello, Falstaff (Verdi) and a Hindemith trilogy for Opera Koln, Lulu (Berg) for the English National Opera, Turandot (Puccini) for the Welsh National Opera, Lohengrin (Wagner) for Opera de Paris and many others. At the Israeli Opera he designed Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), La traviata (Verdi), Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Josef (Tal) and Alpha & Omega (Shohat).
