    Mark Schnaible, bass-baritone, was born in the USA. His repertoire includes the title role in Duke Bluebeard’s Castle (Bartok), Mephistopheles in Faust (Gounod), the Villains in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach), Jochanaan in Salome (R. Strauss), Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress (Stravinsky), Pizarro in Fidelio (Beethoven), Klingsor in Parsifal, Friedrich in Das Libesverbot (Wagner), the title role in Sweeney Todd (Sondheim), Scarpia in Tosca (Puccini) and others. He performs in the opera houses of Leipzig, Warsaw, Edmonton, New Orleans, Utah, Glimmerglass, Tokyo, Portland and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
