Kosky Barrie, director
Barrie Kosky, director, was born in Australia. He is the artistic director of the Komische Oper Berlin. He directs regularly in all leading opera houses including the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and the opera hoses of Munich, Glyndebourne, Amsterdam, Zurich, Paris, Los Angeles, Madrid, Barcelona, Essen, Berlin, Frankfurt and others. His numerous opera credits include Carmen (Bizet), Semele, Agrippina, Saul (Handel), The Fiery Angel (Prokofiev), La fanciulla del West (Puccini), Macbeth (Verdi), Prince Igor (Borodin), The Nose (Shostakovich), Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Candide, West Side Story (Bernstein), Moses und Aron (Schonberg), and many others including the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
