Joel Alexander, conductor
Born in England, Alexander Joel’s vast opera repertoire includes Luisa Miller, Macbeth, Rigoletto and Il trovatore (Verdi); La bohème, Tosca, Manon Lescaut and Madama Butterfly (Puccini); Carmen (Bizet); Salome and Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss); Lohengrin, Tristan und Isolde and Parsifal (Wagner) and many others. He conducts regularly at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and in the opera houses of Vienna, Wiesbaden, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Geneva, Dresden, Munich, Helsinki, Tokyo, Oslo, Cologne, Santiago de Chile, Boston and many others. He also conducts numerous orchestras, among them the New York Philharmonic, in concerts throughout the world. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
