Cohen Tom, soprano
Tom Cohen, soprano, was born in Israel. She graduated from the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University. Her operatic repertoire includes Monica in The Medium (Menotti), Pamina in Die Zauberflote, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), the Squirrel and the Shepherdess in L’Enfant et les sortileges (Ravel) and others. She performed with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Candide (Bernstein) as well as in concerts with the Israel Chamber Orchestra and other orchestras and ensembles. She received the Leon Nacht, Eli Leon, IVAI, AICF and Dan Ben-Bessat scholarships. Tom Cohen is a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire includes Gretel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Pamina in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Clorinda in La Cenerentola (Rossini), Alcina in La liberazione di Ruggiero (Francesca Caccini) and other roles.
