Matanovic Anya, soprano
Was born in the USA. She made her debut as Mimi in Buz Luhrmann's production of La boheme (Puccini) in Los Angeles in 2004. Her opera repertoire includes Mary Warren in The Crucible, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Gretel in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Nannetta in Falstaff (Verdi), Frasquita in Carmen (Bizet), Serpina in La serva padrona (Pergolesi), Marzelline in Fidelio (Beethoven), Papagena in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Flora in The Turn of the Screw (Britten) and other roles. She performed in the Santa Fe Opera, Seattle Opera, Opera Cleveland, New York City Opera and other opera houses in the USA. She is a co-founder of NachtMusik, an operatic outreach group dedicated to bringing opera to the many different communities of Los Angeles.
