Was born in Germany. She has founded, together with Jochen Sandig, the Sasha Waltz & Guests dance company. Among her choreographies are Körper, S, noBody and the choreographic installation insideout. Other choreographic operas Medea, with music by Pascal Dusapin and text by Heiner Müller and Roméo et Juliette (Berlioz), which were presented, among others, at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin,  Opéra de Paris and Grand Theatre de la Ville de Luxemburg. At TAPAC she has presented Körper in 2001.
