    The Young “Efroni” Choir

The Young “Efroni” Choir, conductd by Yasmin Yitzchak, was founded in 1996 as a preparatory choir for the Efroni Choir. The choir was first conducted by Esti Har Gitai and initiated by Maya Shavit. The members of the youth chorus are children by the age of 9-12, and its main purpose is to provide the children with a musical and artistic experience. The chorus has staged the opera Brundibar (Hans Krasa), written in 1938 for children at the Terezin Ghetto, and has also participated in The Empty Pot (Lorin Mazel) with the IPO. It has wide repertoire of Israeli and international music, and is usually performing in concerts in Israel. The Chorus has also represented Israel in an international festival of children choruses in the USA.
