    Edna Prochnick, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. Her operatic repertoire includes Erda, Fricka and Waltraute in Der Ring des Nibelungen, Kundry in Parsifal (Wagner), Klytamnestra in Elektra (R. Strauss), Orlovsky in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Amneris in Aida, Eboli in Don Carlo, Mrs. Quickly in Falstaff, Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera, Fenena in Nabucco (Verdi), Suzuki in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) and many other roles. She performs at the opera houses of Mannheim, Kassel, St. Margarethen, Palm Beach, Bergen, Bregenz, Prague, Tokyo, Paris, Nuremberg, Wiesbaden. Salzburg and others.
