Was born in France.  She has performed many roles including the title role in Aida, Violetta in La traviata, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Elisabetta in Don Carlo (Verdi), the title role in Tosca, Mimi in La Bohème (Puccini), the title role in Elektra (R. Strauss), Magdalena in Andrea Chénier (Giordano) and Adina in L’elisire d’amore (Donizetti) at the opera houses of the Metropolitan opera, San Francisco, Vienna, Zurich, Venice, Cagliari, Torino, Genova and others.
