    Born in Poland, Mikołaj Zalasinski, a graduate (with distinction) of the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, has won prizes in numerous vocal competitions and many awards. His repertoire includes the leading roles in Macbeth, Nabucco, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, Yevgeni Onegin, and Scarpia in Tosca, Luna in Il Trovatore, Iago in Otello, Renato in Un ballo in Maschera, Don Carlo in La forza del Destino, Amonasro in Aida, Germont in La Traviata, Seid in Il Corsaro and Don Carlo in Ernani.
    Mikołaj Zalasinski regularly performs at prestigious venues including Teatro La Fenice, Venice; Teatro Regio, Turin; Zurich Opernhaus; Kammeroper, Vienna; Teatro Sao Carlos, Lisbon; Teatro Real, Madrid; Teatro Lirico, Cagliari; Maggio Musicale, Florence; Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich; Polish National Opera, Warsaw; and the opera houses of Beijing, Belfast, Berlin, Chicago, Dublin, Graz, Lausanne, Prague, Tokyo, Vilnius, and Wiesbaden. He has collaborated with renowned conductors like Valery Gergiev and Daniele Gatti, and distinguished directors including Franco Zeffirelli and David Pountney.
