    Kol Bracha, mezzo-soprano


    Bracha Kol was born in Israel. She regularly performs Opera, Lied and Oratorio. Her concert repertoire ranges from early music to contemporary works. With the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra led by Maestro Zubin Mehta she sang Flora in La Traviata (Verdi) and the mezzo-soprano solo at the Israeli premiere of Requiem Ebraico (Zeisl). In May 2008 she made her debut at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Florence, Italy) singing the role of Mercedes in Carmen (Bizet) conducted by Maestro Mehta, directed by Carlos Saura. She holds an Artist degree with distinction in singing, from the Tel-Aviv University, and an Artist Degree with distinction as a recorder player, from the Utrecht Conservatory, Holland. She is a scholarship recipient of the IVAI institute, as well as the "America Israel Cultural Foundation.
