Is Artistic Director and Conductor of the Baltika youth chamber orchestra since 1999. As a composer, he wrote two string quartets, a piano concerto, a piano sonata, a flute and piano sonata and romances among other works. At the Mariinsky Theatre over the last five seasons he has conducted, among others, Yevgeni Onegin, The Nutcracker (Tchaikovsky), Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), The Demon (Rubinstein), The Nose and The Gamblers (Shostakovich).
