Patrick Summers, conductor, was born in the USA. He is the Artistic and Music Director of the Houston Grand Opera. His vast operatic repertoire includes La favorite (Donizetti), Florencia en el Amazonas (Catan), Norma (Bellini), Elektra (R. Strauss), Tosca (Puccini), Der Ring des Nibelungen, Der fliegende Hollander (Wagner), Sweeney Todd (Sondheim), It’s a Wonderful Life, Moby Dick, Three Decembers (Heggie), Brief Encounter (Previn), The Passenger (Weinberg) and many others. Aside of conducting numerous productions at the Houston Grand Opera he conducts regularly at the opera houses of Los Angeles, Barcelona, Chicago, Dallas, Berlin, Rome, Oslo, the Metropolitan Opera in New York and many others.
