Michael Bracegirdle, tenor, was born in England. His repertoire includes Tamino in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Steva and Laca in Jenufa, Boris and Kudryash in Katya Kabanova (Janacek), Erik in Der fliegende Hollander, Loge in Das Rheingold, Siegmund in Die Walkure (Wagner), Lensky in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Don Jose in Carmen (Bizet), Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), the title role in Les Contes des Hoffmann (Offenbach), Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Valzacchi in Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Judge Danforth in The Crucible (Ward) and others.
