Anni Anna, costume designer
Born in Italy. She began her career as a painter of murals and then started working with Franco Zeffirelli in his numerous opera, theatre, ballet and film productions. She was also a teacher of fashion design. Her many opera credits include La Cenerentola (Rossini), Alcina (Handel), Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Orfeo (Monteverdi), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Turandot (Puccini), the film of Otello (Verdi) and the ballets Swan Lake and Don Quixote and many others at all leading opera houses including La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. At the Isreali Opera she designed costumes for Carmen (Bizet). This was Her only work for the Israeli Opera.
She passed away in 2011.
