Tiran Itay, director
Itay Tiran, director, was born in Israel. He has worked extensively as a theatre, film and television actor in Israel and abroad. His theatre credits at the Cameri Theatre include the title role in Hamlet (which also toured internationally), Richard II and Richard III, the title role in Woyzeck, Christian in Festen, Mozart in Amadeus, Kittel in Ghetto, the title role in Mephisto and in Cyrano de Bergerac, the Master of Ceremonies in Cabaret, the title role in Ivanov, Mack the Knife in Threepenny Opera, Johann in Scenes from a Marriage, John Hale in The Crucible and many others. He performed leading roles in the Israeli films Forgiveness, The Debt, Lebanon, Beaufort, Demon, Run By Run and many others. His directing debut was in 2010 with Woyzeck which was followed by Little Man what Now both at the Cameri Theatre. He directed the opera The Banality of Love (Ella Milch-Sheriff) at Regensburg.
