Daniel Sumegi, baritone, was born in Australia. His repertoire includes Walter and Wurm in Luisa Miller, the Grand Inquisitor in Don Carlo, Sparafucile in Rigoletto (Verdi), Klingsor in Parsifal, Daland in Der fliegende Hollander, King Mark in Tristan und Isolde, Wotan, Hunding, Hagen and Fasolt in Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Mr. Flint in Billy Budd (Britten), Scarpia in Tosca (Puccini), Boris in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Shostakovich), Sarastro in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Gremin in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many other roles.
