Alan Guingal, conductor, was born in France. His numerous opera credits include Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach), Mireille, Faust (Gounod), Don Quichotte, Manon, Thais (Massenet), Lakme (Delibes), Les Pecheurs de Perles, Carmen (Bizet), La Gioconda (Ponchielli), La traviata, Simon Boccanegra, Rigoletto, Macbeth (Verdi), Roberto Devereux, Poliutto, Maria Stuarda, Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Madama Butterfly (Puccini) and many others. He conducts regularly at the Vienna Staatsoper and at the opera houses of Berlin, Munich, Washington, Madrid, Barcelona, Turin, Florence, Rome, Naples, Liege, Marseille, Bilbao, Tokyo, Oviedo, Nice, Avignon, Sao Paulo, Antibes, Avenches, Monte Carlo, Budapest, Orange and many others.
