He has designed numerous opera productions including La traviata, Un ballo in maschera, Rigoletto, Il trovatore, Otello (Verdi), Roberto Devereux, Maria Stuarda, Anna Bolena, L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), Der Rosenkavalier, Salome (R. Strauss), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), La Cenerentola (Rossini), Lakme (Delibes), Ariodante (Handel), The Bartered Bride (Smetana), Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), La clemenza di Tito, Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and many others.
