Was born in Belgium. His recent credits as a set designer include, among others, The Tsar’s Bride (Rimsky-Korsakov) The Bartered Bride (Smetana), Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and La Bohème (Puccini) in Opera Zuid and the opera houses of Frankfurt, Saarbrücken and Malmö. He has cooperated with Stephen Lawless in the productions of Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Der Ring des Nibelungen (Wagner), Salome (R. Strauss), La clemenza di Tito, Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Mozart) Simon Boccanegra (Verdi), Wozzeck (Berg) at the Glyndebourne Festival and the opera houses of Strasbourg, Nürnberg, Dallas, Minnesota, ROH, the New Zealand Festival and others.
