Ildar Bedernikov, lighting designer, was born in Russia. He designed lighting for numerous opera, ballet and theatre productions including La traviata (Verdi), May Night (Rimsky-Korsakov), Die Fledermaus (J. Strauss), Hamlet (Kobekin) and the ballets Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet and others.

At the Israeli Opera he designed lighting for Betrothal at a Monastery (Prokofiev) presented by the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Opera.
