Clare Presland, mezzo soprano, was born in Great Britain. Her repertoire includes Margaret in Wozzeck (Berg), Varvara in Katya Kabanova (Janacek), Kitchen Boy in Rusalka (Dvorak), Palestinian Woman in The Death of Klinghoffer (Adams), Sonyetka and Aksinya in Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk (Shostakovich), Suzuki in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), the Red Queen in Alice’s Adventures Underground (Gerald Barry), several roles in Lulu (Berg) and Written on Skin (Benjamin) and many other roles. She performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the English National Opera and the opera houses of Lyon, Aldeburgh, Holland Park, Scottish Opera, Dublin and others.
This is her Israeli Opera debut.
