Alfons Flores was born in Spain. He has designed sets for many theatre productions and his numerous opera credits include Un ballo in maschera, Macbeth (Verdi), Don Giovanni, Die Entfhurung aus dem Serail (Mozart), Manon, Werther (Massenet), Madama Butterfly, La fanciulla del West (Puccini), Carmen (Bizet), Wozzeck (Berg), Oedipe (Enescu), Faust (Gounod), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Daphne (R. Strauss) and many others. He works at the opera houses of Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Paris, Melbourne, Sydney, Buenos Aires and others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
