Rupert Charlesworth was born in Great Britain. His repertoire includes the Funeral Director in A Quiet Pace (Bernstein), Damon in Acis and Galatea (Handel), Lucano in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Monteverdi), Angel 3 and John in Written on Skin (Benjamin), Tamino in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Count Enrico in La vera costanza (Haydn), the Soldier in Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Ullmann) and other roles. He performs at the opera houses of Aix en Provence, Vienna, English National Opera, Glyndebourne, Beijing, Moscow, Montreal and others.
