Marco Filibeck was born in Italy. He has designed lighting for many opera and ballet productions in leading opera houses all over the world. His numerous opera credits include Aida, Il trovatore, Oberto, Un ballo in maschera (Verdi), La boheme, Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Wozzeck (Berg), Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Fidelio (Beethoven), Le Cid (Massenet), Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Pelleas et Melisande (Debussy), Norma (Bellini) and many others. He has worked at La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and the opera houses of Rome, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Lyon, Dresden and many others.
