Iveri Tamar, soprano
Tamar Iveri, was born in Georgia. Her repertoire includes Amelia in Simon Boccanegra, Desdemona in Otello, Lucrezia Contarini in I due Foscari, Leonora in Il trovatore, Elisabetta in Don Carlo (Verdi), Mimi in La boheme, the title role in Tosca and in Suor Angelica, Liu in Turandot (Puccini), Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito (Mozart), Nedda in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Tatyana in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many others. She performs regularly in La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Arena di Verona and the opera houses of Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Zurich, Munich, Copenhagen, Toulouse and many others.
