Doron Michal, mezzo-soprano
Michal Doron, mezzo soprano, was born in Israel. She is a member of the ensemble of the Dresden Semperoper. She performed as a soloist with Jerusalem Symphony orchestra and the symphony orchestra of the Buchman-Mehta School of Music. Her operatic repertoire includes Fenenna in Nabucco (Verdi), Annina in Der Rosenkavalier (R. Strauss), Une dame d'honner in Les Huguenotes (Meyerbeer), Brigitta in Die tote Stadt (Korngold), Cornelia in Giulio Cesare in Egitto (Handel), Hata in The Bartred Bride (Smetana), Mary in Der fliegende Hollander, Erda in Dad Rheingold (Wagner), Solo Voice in Moses und Aron (Schoenberg), the Mother in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Driade in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), Maddalena and Giovanna in Rigoletto (Verdi), the Third Lady in Die Zauberflote (Mozart) and other roles. She has received the AICF, IVAI and the Buchman-Mehta School of Music Scholarships. Michal Doron was a member of the Israeli Opera's Meitar Opera Studio where her repertoire included the Third Lady in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), the Mother in Hansel und Gretel (Humperdinck), Madam Flora in the Medium (Menotti), the Princess in Suor Angelica (Puccini) and other roles.
