Juan Guillermo Nova was born in Spain. He has designed many opera productions in the opera houses of Madrid, Parma, Verona, Buenos Aires, Palermo, Turin, Rome, Maribor, Liege, Santiago di Chile, Beijing, Sao Paulo and many others. Among the many operas he has designed are La sonnambula (Bellini), La boheme (Puccini), Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky), L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Carmen (Bizet) and many others.
