Stefano Poda, director and designer, was born in Italy. He always directs and designs the set, costumes and lighting for all his productions. Among the many productions that he has directed are Rusalka (Dvorak), Ariodante, Alcina (Handel), Norma (Bellini), Eduardo e Cristina (Rossini), Tosca, Turandot (Puccini), Nabucco, Il trovatore, La forza del destino, Don Carlo, Otello, Falstaff, Attila (Verdi), Romeo et Juliette (Gounod), Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky) Andrea Chenier (Giordano), Thais (Massenet), Tristan und Isolde (Wagner) and others. He has worked at the opera houses of Florence, Seoul, Buenos Aires, Turin, Sao Paolo, Budapest, Liege, Bilbao, Athens, Lausanne, Pesaro, Moscow and others. At the Israeli Opera he has created Faust (Gounod).
