Ekaterina Bakanova was born in Russia. Her repertoire includes Magda in La rondine, Musetta in La boheme (Puccini), Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, the Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflote (Mozart), Leila in Les Pecheurs de Perles, Micaela in Carmen (Bizet), Violetta in La traviata, Gilda in Rigoletto (Verdi) and others. She performs at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London and in the opera houses of Verona, Venice, Turin, Palermo, Beijing, Dresden, Florence, Wexford, Madrid, Geneva, Barcelona, Moscow and others.
