Ira Bertman, soprano, born in Latvia. She performs regularly as a soloist with all leading Israeli orchestras as well as in international opera houses including the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Chatelet in Paris, the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Helikon in Moscow and the opera houses of Cagliari, Bologna, Manheim, Liege, Catania, Suzhou in China and others. She was a member of the Israeli Opera’s Opera Studio. Her operatic repertoire also includes Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), the leading role in Jenufa (Janacek), the leading role in Fedora (Giordano) and others. She was a member of the Israeli Opera's Opera Studio and recieved the Basser and Grabov scholarships.
