Eric Barry, tenor, was born in the USA. His repertoire includes Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Rodolfo in La boheme, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), the Duke in Rigoletto, Adorno in Simon Boccanegra, Alfredo in La traviata (Verdi), Jenik in The Bartered Bride (Smetana), Tom Rakewell in The Rake’s Progress (Stravinsky), Avito in L’amore dei tre re (Montemezzi), Quint in The Turn of the Screw (Britten), Lensky in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and many other roles. His wide concert repertoire includes Beethoven’s ninth symphony, the Mozart and the Verdi requiems, Messiah (Handel) and other works. He performs at the opera houses of Amarillo, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Caramoor, Boston, Wolf Trap, Warsaw, Colorado and others. This is his Israeli Opera debut.
