Yoonki Baek, tenor
Baek Yoonki, tenor, was born in South Korea. His operatic repertoire includes the title role in Don Carlo, Macduff in Macbeth, Alfredo in La traviata, Oronte in I Lombardi, the Duke in Rigoletto (Verdi), Lensky in Yevgeni Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Rodolfo in La boheme, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Puccini), Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte (Mozart), Steva in Jenufa (Janacek), the title role in Faust (Gounod), Don Jose in Carmen (Bizet) and many other roles. He also has a vast concert repertoire including works by Beethoven, Verdi, Rossini and other composers. He performs in various German opera houses including Kiel, Luebeck and Aachen. This is his first performance with the Israeli Opera and with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA.
