Nuria Castejon, choreographer, was born in Spain. She studies with the Ballet Nacional de Espana and performed with the most prestigious Spanish dance companies. As a choreographer she created many ballets and dance works as well as choreographed many opera productions including Carmen (Bizet), La rondine (Puccini), Don Giovanni (Mozart), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo) and others. She was the flamenco instructor for Penelope Cruz in the film Volver directed be Pedro Almodovar. This is her first work for the Israeli Opera.
