Renata Schussheim, costume designer, was born in Argentina. Since 1966 her oil paintings and drawings have been exhibited at the most important galleries in Argentina, Italy, Mexico and Venezuela. She illustrates books and publishes in magazines in Buenos Aires, Mexico and New York. She designed costumes to numerous operas, ballets, musicals, rock concerts, films and video. She has designed for productions in the opera houses of Geneva, Rio de Janeiro, Turin, Buenos Aires and others. This is her first work at the Israeli Opera.
