Yacobi Nofar, soprano
Nofar Yacobi, soprano, was born in Israel. Her repertoire includes Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi (Puccini), Gilda in Rigoletto, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera (Verdi) and Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss), The Queen of the Night Nacht in Die Zauberflöte, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni (Mozart), the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor (Donizetti), Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica (Puccini) and others. She performed at the opera houses of Orvieto, Calgar and as a soloist with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Rishon-LeZion Orchestra, the Toronto Academy Chamber Orchestra, the Glenn Gould New Music Ensemble and more. Her concert repertoire includes Les Noces (Stravinsky), Bachianas Brasileiras (Villa-Lobos), Sieben frühe Lieder (Berg) and others. Nofar Yacobi was a member of the Meitar Opera Studio. At the Israeli Opera she performed Papagena in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart), Moth in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Britten) and others.
