Omer Meir Wellber was born in Israel. He is the Music Director at the Raanana Symphonette Orchestra, and also the new Music Director of Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in Valencia. He has conducted Aida (Verdi) with La Scala in Tel Aviv. He has conducted Tosca (Puccini) and Aida (Verdi) in La Scala, Carmen (Bizet), Tosca (Puccini) and La traviata (Verdi) at the Berlin Staatsoper, Salome (R. Strauss) in Japan, Daphne (R. Strauss) in Dresden, Rigoletto and La traviata (Verdi) in Vienna, Carmen (Bizet) and L'elisir d'amore (Donizetti) in Venice, Aida (Verdi), Yevgeny Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Boris Godunov (Mussorgsky) in Valencia and many others.
