Alfred Kim was born in South Korea. His repertoire includes Calaf in Turandot, Cavaradossi in Tosca (Puccini), Don Jose in Carmen (Bizet), the title role in Don Carlo, Manrico in Il trovatore, Don Alvaro in La forza del destino, Radames in Aida, Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra (Verdi), the title role in Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Offenbach) and many others. He sings regularly at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of Oslo, Frankfurt, Berlin, Barcelona, Toulouse, Paris, Florence, Rome, Seville, Nice and many others.
