Roberto Venturi, lighting designer, was born in Italy. He has designed lighting for many opera productions including Semiramide (Rossini), Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Tosca (Puccini), Tristan und Isolde (Wagner), Carmen (Bizet), Aida (Verdi), La favourite (Donizetti), Mefistofele (Boito) and many others. He works regularly in the opera houses of Monte Carlo, Naples, Madrid, Lausanne, Paris, Marseille, Nantes, Tokyo, Valencia, Pesaro, Liege and many others. This is his first work for the Israeli Opera.
